The newest to Holland's welding portfolio is Short Plug Repair Welding. This flash-butt welding process provides higher quality and more cost-effective defect remediation compared to traditional methods with less equipment and labor needed.
Holland's Automated Manganese Refurbishment (HAMR™) provides robotically controlled welding procedures to build back the damaged areas on rail frogs and crossing diamonds, along with flash-butt welding services. This service provides several benefits, including higher quality with lower porosity than traditional methods as well as 2-3x faster than the manual process. From a safety aspect, operators do not have to work over fumes for a prolonged period, and the robot can continue to weld while trains pass on adjacent tracks.
Holland's Argus® track measurement technology features multiple ways for railroads to inspect their tracks from portable inspection, contract testing, and locomotive-based autonomous track measurement systems. The Track Inspector, which is a full geometry system, offers two individual rail sensors depending on the configuration and use and can be mounted, configured, and calibrated by one person in less than an hour. The Locomotive UGMS, a locomotive-based autonomous track geometry and rail profile measurement system takes advantage of existing train routes to provide continuous testing along critical network corridors while eliminating the need for track time.
