The Plasser American, PTS90C Dynamic Track Stabilizer is a vital component in the maintenance of way arsenal. This one machine does the work of 100,000 tons of rail traffic in a single pass, returning the roadbed or ballast section to a homogenized state immediately following tamping. The Track Stabilizer is designed to apply controlled, accurate stabilizing forces into the track structure at continuous speeds.

Easily transportable – the PTS90C can be mobilized between work sites more efficiently, and more affordably than its rail-bound counterparts.  The overall reduction in the machines’ weight, coupled with the ability to manipulate the counterweights between work-mode and highway transport, make this piece of work equipment an integral asset for any railroad contractor, agency, or Class-1 railroad.  

The heavy-duty stabilizing units are well-proven components that are also used on machines of the DYNACAT series or on the PTS62 stabilizers. Powered hydraulically, they can work on plain tracks and turnouts. During working operation and track travel, both axles of the PTS90C are powered hydrostatically.

The PLUS+1 CANBUS control system ensures safe, reliable, and easy machine control. The robust control system works is capable of operating in a wide range of temperatures between –40° F to 158° F. In the development of the PTS90C, particular attention was paid to ergonomic design. All operating controls are incorporated in the armrests of the operator's seat with the monitor showing the measured values being located directly within the operator's field of view.

The PTS90C also is equipped with a rear cabin for reverse track travel with all operating controls integrated. This ensures optimum visibility for safe travel in both directions. Both cabins are equipped with air-conditioning and heating and can be accessed via safe access steps.
