It's official. Keith Creel, President & CEO of CPKC has been named Progressive Railroading's and RailTrends 2024 Innovator of the Year! In earning the distinction, Creel becomes the first ever repeat winner of the award. Mr. Creel will accept the 2024 Innovator of the Year award Friday, November 15 at RailTrends. He was first recognized in 2014 for his role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Pacific (CP), where he drove significant safety initiatives and played a prominent role in linking rail communities across North America. Since then, he has continued to innovate, optimizing rail both operations and growth agendas for CPKC, and setting the standard for rail in the modern age.

Part of the first major railroad merger in the modern era, he became the first President and CEO of the newly minted CPKC in April 2023. And due in no small part to his commitment to leadership, progress, and growth, he is the first repeat recipient of Progressive Railroading's Innovator of the Year.
